It was awkward, for both of them. Neither of them really knew the meaning of a relationship, and the fact they were sitting across from each other at the dinner table of some fancy restaurant they forgot the name of, was weird.

"Okay, you need to say something" Mandy finally piped up.

"You're not very talkative either"

"Dude, maybe this was a bad idea"

"Mandy, I want to know you, I really do"

"Why? I'm not really anything special Taylor"

He just sighed, "You obviously don't see what I see"

"You don't even know me"

"You won't let me"

"All I wanted from you was a lay, and I was supposed to just do my job and get out. But I got attached, it's like you're...this forbidden territory. I shouldn't have you, but I want you more than anything"

"Well, if we're being honest, you completely surprised me, I didn't expect more than that one night, but you kept coming back, and I couldn't say no to you"

"Well then...it seems we both feel something"

"I guess so"

"Maybe now we can get to know each other?"

"Okay, well, how about you tell me about yourself"

"Sure. I was born in Calgary, grew up with three brothers, and--"

"You grew up in Calgary? I did too, well I moved to Ontario, but I always come back to Calgary for a couple weeks in the summer"

It finally started to break open, they were talking to each other, and getting to know each other. Everything seemed really good, and they ended up staying longer than planned, til close actually.

"You think they're going to kick us out?" she chuckled.

"Maybe we should just leave, save them the hassle" he smiled leaving some cash on the table and grabbing her hand. Her head was spinning, she was starting to feel things she promised she wouldn't while she was in Edmonton. I guess things change.

"Walk you home? Obviously"

She smirked and intertwined her fingers with his. His eyes widened as he looked down and then back up at her, "Mandy, I--"

Before he could finish her lips met his, and this was a first for both of them. This was a kiss outside of sex, and for both of them, it meant something.

"Uh..." he was literally speechless, and she just smiled at him.

"I should get home"

He just sighed, "I don't want this to end"

"You have an early practice, I'm not keeping you up all night. Plus, Jordan would not appreciate it"

He sighed again, "Fine"

"Don't worry Taylor, we'll have more chances...I promise"

As they walked home, their hands were glued together. To Mandy, it's nothing she experienced with someone before, and for Taylor, he wasn't sure what to make of it.

They stopped in front of each other's apartments and Mandy gently kissed him goodbye, leaving him wanting more, "See you tomorrow Taylor"

"...Bye Mandy"
